Semi Pro has become a 45 yard class

As an old unlimited shooter...i'll be the voice for them.... We would like to have it back to where it was shooting 50 .

I agree, that the semi-pro class should have an aggressive course, otherwise they will be unprepared to cope with the longer distances of the pro class --- would be similar to being thrown into a lions den.

if you want 'em set further you're gonna have to pay Finger, Buzzard and the crew to walk the extra walk to set out there.

Ben, I agree. I cannot imagine what kind of range they could set for me to win. I've shot plenty of hard ranges and plenty of easy ranges and my number of wins in semi pro remains zero. And, since everybody shoots them, the ranges are completely fair.

My point in posting this was just to bring up that I don't think these ranges are good preparation for the pro classes. I hoped that the ASA might keep this in mind when setting them in the future. Also, like mentioned above, something needs to be done to clear up the discrepancy of the Unlimited/Semi having a different max yardage but shooting the same range and stake.

Darin, great post! Like you said, the ASA and their staff do an awesome job at setting these courses and making the whole weekend and an awesome experience!

I definitely agree though, I would love for the courses to be longer!!

Not to sound like one of those guys "Well eventually I'll get them to create a class/course so I can win too!" Unless they make one for tall, left handed, goofy people with glasses! (Notice I said tall Tim, you'll have to find your own class!)

That being said, the courses won't affect me having a chance! I just enjoy shooting the more difficult ranges!

I remember when we shot alternating stakes with the Pros. Now that was fun!
