ASA Pro/Am - Enhanced Youth Program Team Shoot

To provide a more complete experience for our youth competitors, ASA is enhancing our youth program to include a new Team Shoot activity. Beginning in Kentucky, and again in Illinois, the Youth Boys and Youth Girls classes, along with the High School Pins and Middle School Pins classes will be competing in their regular class competitions at 8:00am and 3:00pm on Saturday. They will therefore be completing their individual class competition and receiving their awards on Saturday evening.

This change will provide an additional opportunity for these classes to compete Sunday morning from 9:00am to 11:00am in a special Youth Team Shoot competition on the LimbSaver Range. This 10-target team competition will be made up of members of each of these four competition classes paired by the ASA into teams. Targets will be set at known distances out to thirty yards and the rules of competition will be the same as for the Friday Team Shoot.
There is no charge for the Youth Team Event and all Youth, Middle & High School Pins competitors are eligible to compete. Anyone interested in competing on Sunday needs to go by the ASA Registration trailer and advise them that they want to shoot and they will be assigned to a team. Shooters are still eligible to enter to compete up to 8:30am Sunday morning at which time the teams will be announced.

Members of the top two highest scoring teams will receive gift certificates and prizes from our ASA sponsors.

Good move! The kids need all the shooting time that can be made available. A big plus is they will be competing as teams, not as individuals which provides a positive experience.

    Kudos.

So is this just for the kids that shoot pins or can the eagle and youth open classes shoot it?

Also, if it's just for the pin classes can a kid shoot senior eagle on Saturday and shoot pins on Sunday and shoot in the team shoot?
