  • Hard Times for Martin Archery

The strong rumors have Martin Archery set to go under the auctioneers gavel sometime around the first of September. As one of the few folks shooting a Martin at the ASA pro ams, I'm sorry to see the company reach this state.

No rumor. Here's link. Several may know Laura, Martin Girl, and NOV RUT. Both were let go sometime ago.
Joel was let go just a few weeks ago. Martin employees are said down to 10.
Prospective buyers are already in house looking machinery over.

Martin had a booth at ATA and have a new web site up. Introduced some new bows I guess.

From what I've seen Martin has returned to the standard stabilizer screw in bushing. That riser built-in quick disconnect was a real turn off for me. Said was the one piece riser to return as they revamp, which I believe started with the 2012 Scepter V.
More is to come as Martin gets up on it's feet. Accuracy never a issue, quality attacked viciously, Martin should recover, but to it's former glory...I don't know....
